Buying A Gun and more...

Looking to buy a gun? Congradulations, you've come to the right place!

This blog's purpose is to provide basic information regarding making an informed firearm purchase, including additional information designed to empower you as you learn more about firearms.

Buying a gun is no easy task. Whether you are a firearm enthusiast or brand new to the world of firearms, this blog will take you through the process of deciding what type of gun to buy and how to prepare for the purchase. Below you will find a few guidelines to follow when deciding what gun to buy:

Be Patient!

It's easy to rush into the first gun shop or gun show you find and walk out after buying on impulse. This happened to me personally when I turned 21. I ran out the door with only $140 on my first handgun. If you don't already know, this is hardly enough to bring home a fine handgun. I set my sights on the only gun my funds could secure, a .22 caliber Pheonix Arms HP22. I had no idea this is a common "Saturday Night Special" or "junk gun", but I would soon find out. After firing just over 200 rounds through it, the magazine release popped out of the left side of the gun, losing the spring encased inside.

If I had been patient and just double the amount of money I was willing to invest I would have been able to come away with a durable and reliable (used) pistol like a Smith & Wesson Sigma or a Stoeger Cougar or countless revolvers from dozens of manufacturers.
